LICENSE PLATE VALUES
A MUST-HAVE BOOK FOR TAG COLLECTORS
TENTH EDITION
The 10th Edition of License Plate Values is currently available. Its original publication date was 2008. There are currently no plans for any subsequent editions. License Plate Values is a basic price guide for collectible automobile license plates issued by jurisdictions of the United States and Canada (states, provinces, and territories). Information is listed for each year a jurisdiction issued license plates, giving the value estimate in US dollars, based upon different levels of condition. For example, Alabama has two pages of data, beginning with the first year of issue, 1911, down the left column of the page. Across the top of the page are listed the various levels of condition, on a scale of 1-5 (fair, good, very good, excellent, 5=mint). The monitary value appears in the block where the two lines intersect. The states are listed in order by the alphabet, Canadian jurisdictions are contained following the US jurisdictions. Users of previous editions are familiar with the format, which remains the same as previous years.

The year-by year tables are for standard passenger car plates. With this edition, more information is also provided for appraising motorcycle plates, based upon generalized decennial layers, in a new appendix to the book, appearing for the first time in this edition.

LPV-10 is currently available in two formats, the standard perfect bound book as in the past (shown in the photo), or the special wire-bound version (lays-flat style). Please use the link to the order form to specify which style you prefer, or simply write your name and address on a piece of paper with the information. If you do not specify a style, you will automatically receive the standard style book. For credit card orders, click on the photo to email us. Otherwise, click on the mail order link below.

LPV is based upon the work and experience of Bob Crisler, a long-time collector and ALPCA member. He has established a network of information from numerous sources, including other noted collectors and hobbyists, internet auctions, and store sales, in order to put together this invaluable resource. In the past, many collectors and estates have used this reference as a guide in establishing approximate value expectations.

The cost of the tenth edition has been maintained at the old pricing structure of $24.95. We normally use priority mail, which is an additional $5.00 for the first copy (no additional postage for the second or third copy ordered at the same time). We accept personal or company checks and money orders payable in US funds by mail to L.P. Values or visa/mastercard by email or phone. Here is the mailing address and you can find an email link on the special deals page:
